sur la table
Ally seems to relish saying "no" these days to pretty much every question we ask, though the response is said in a sweet playful voice and is on occasion followed by a thoughtful "yes." As in, "Ally, would you like a cookie?" "no.... yes." She even said "no" to her snack this past weekend, so in a moment of exasperation I asked if she would like to have her snack at the big table. Her eyes lit up. "Yea!" She arranged some of her friends around her plate to join in on the fun and seemed so pleased to be at the table like a big girl.
To get a sense of scale, on a different day...

Cute! I especially like the animal audience. Not to be particular: sur la table means that Ally would actually be on the table. Is there another part of this story that you're not telling??

So. Is she willing to sit back in her highchair anymore? That turned into an issue with Ryan and Katy... She's so cute and little at that big table!

Em, you missed the part when she climbed on the table. Ha ha. Resulting in lots of "get down Ally! No Ally!"
At this point she will use her high chair at meal times, but I have a feeling it won't be for long. Yesterday she insisted on eating at the big table at daycare. Her highchair can be converted into a booster seat so I suppose I need to figure that out. As long as it can continue to restrain her... because restraint really is key. :)
